THIS IS A FREELANCE Music & Media Licensing POSITION
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support for Music Group and LOGO clip licensing including research, approvals, dubbing, faxing, filing and maintaining and updating reports and files. Handle huge volume (1000+) of requests per year from various outlets worldwide for the organization for various uses including film, television, publishing and online. Help generate ancillary revenue, build reciprocal relationships for MTVN by facilitating the day-to-day operations for Music Group and LOGOs clip licensing businesses. Negotiate rates and reciprocal deals, draft and finalize agreements for Music Group and LOGO clip licenses (footage requests, logos, artwork) from various outlets (film, television, online, publishing) industry-wide. Communicate directly with Senior-Level Management for all necessary approvals. Screen, duplicate and provide requested material. Maintain a detailed tracking report of all incoming licensing requests for both networks and their status. Ensure that licenses are executed and paid in a timely manner. Process invoices for all clip licensing requests and make sure invoices are paid. Communicate with the Finance department to make sure all necessary payments are completed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1-2 years experience in an office environment, preferably in the television/music/entertainment field, ideally within the capacity of business affairs, rights & clearances, or licensing. Demonstrate ability to read and analyze license agreements and to aggressively negotiate with licensors under strict deadlines. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to write effective and persuasive clearance permission letters. BA in Television, Film, Communications, Publishing, Business or similar preferred.

Seeking a Production Manager for Citizens United, a political non-profitlocated on the hill. We are beginning production on two documentaries and will complete six fulllength movies by end of year. Responsibilities to include: coordinating crew for shoots, schedulingcasting sessions for reenactments, maintaining logs for the editors,liasoning between interview subjects and their schedulers, uploading filesfor transcription, coordinating with stock footage clearance personnel,ordering equipment, and other tasks. ITN produces news programmes for two independent channels in the UK ITV and Channel 4. ITN are recruiting for a television news picture editor for ITV News based in our Washington DC bureau who has the capability to switch to camera work when required. The role will be offered for 12 month contract. The main responsibilities of the role include: * Operating both linear and non-linear edit suites.* Operating a camera for live transmissions and filming on tape.* Supporting and suggesting ideas to the bureau correspondent.
